New Book: Love and Terror in the Middle East
This book details my arduous journeys between Israel and the West Bank, discussing issues and organizing activities among religious and national groups. Traveling between these areas has been risky: I have been harassed and arrested by the Palestinian police, harassed by Israeli soldiers and attacked by West Bank settlers. Last month, a peace activist friend of mine was murdered in the West Bank. In addition, my efforts in the region have cost me a marriage, another long romantic relationship and close contact with my children.

Santa Rosa – Blurb on the 4th Edition
Hi everyone,
I’m headed back to Santa Rosa and will be there on July 28th.
That day, I’ll be at Barnes and Noble Booksellers, 700 4th Street, Santa Rosa on July 28th for an author event from 1-5 pm concerning the 4th and latest edition of “Storm Over Morocco”. My two twin daughters, Regina and Juliana, my son, Frankie and my brother Tom said they would show up. I’ll give a short 5- minute presentation followed by a discussion and a book signing. For those who’ve been asking about it, here’s the blurb on the 4th Edition:
A 4th Edition of the book was published in June 2010. It includes a new chapter on an intense interfaith freedom march I organized in the West Bank City of Jenin, the place that offered the greatest resistance to Israeli soldiers during confrontations over the past 20 years. Many people have expressed interest about my present interfaith activities in Israel and Palestine…so here it is!!
Some of us had fun together after the last event; this time we could get together for a quick coffee after the event as I’m headed that evening to Oregon with my kids and my brother to spend time celebrating my Ma’s 90th birthday.
Anyway, I hope to see you there. Best wishes,
Frank Romano

My friends, it’s no longer possible to say, “Ah, that’s the other side of the World, what does this place have to do with me, my family, my world….”.
The people in the Holy Land, Muslims, Jews and Christians alike, are enshrouded by deep suffering, terrible restrictions on freedoms, limitation of circulation, restricted access, unfair confiscation of land, etc. Whenever that happens in the World, we all suffer because I truly believe, my friends, we are all connected.
When they are free (of suffering, etc.), only then can we be free!
It’s time we all do something about it, in an effective, non-violent way.
Let this march be a precursor to freedom through love and understanding by bringing all people together, as brothers and sisters and as children of the creator, showing the world that all people want peace in Israel and Palestine.

New Blog
This blog is to introduce my book « Storm Over Morocco » and to update you on my author events as well as interfaith activities in Israel and the West Bank.
It is a true story about a desperate escape from an Islamic sect which wrongly accused me, the author, of being a Zionist spy in 1978 and tried for sabotage, a capital crime, by an extremist Islamic group in Morocco.
It is a true story about a desperate escape from an Islamic sect which wrongly accused me, the author, of being a Zionist spy in 1978 and tried for sabotage, a capital crime, by an extremist Islamic group in Morocco.
This Moroccan experience has inspired me to organize and participate in interfaith events including but not limited to fundamentalist Muslims, Jews and Christians in Israel and Palestine.
Welcome and I hope you will leave me a message and comments on the book and my interfaith activities in the Holy Land.
